Spencer's Take 2, Semana 7

This has been an awesome week! Once again Elder Acevedo had to leave me! He had a leaders meeting in salta so I had to stay with Elders Dawson and Shellenberg. im just about used to having Elder Acevedo here only half of the week. We had a good week and the proof of it was the two baptisms! We baptized Andrea and Ariel Prieto on Saturday! They are the siblings of Gabi Delgado who we baptized last week. Andrea and Ariel were supposed to be baptized with Gabi but Andrea forgot and left out of town and Ariel is super and just didn't feel like it was the right day. The baptism was awesome even though our ward mission leader failed to plan anything! Luckily the branch leaders were able to come and preside in a moments notice and also there just happened to be some people at the church to support them. I baptized Ariel that makes him my first baptism in my whole mission!!!! He is a super cool kid. He is 15 y/o and loves soccer! We always trade figuritas from the world cup with him! Before his baptism he was super nervous! He didn't want anyone to look at him and even wanted to do it with doors closed! Once everything was said and done he told me that is wasn't like he was thinking!

Saturday Argentina played and the family we ate lunch with was watching the game so we saw about the first half. By the time we left neither Argentina or Iran had scored any goals. From lunch we went to the church to start preparing the baptismal font and everything! As always, the sounds of fire works filled the sky which signaled the goal of messi in over time which won them the game!

Something that is a challenge for me and my comp is finding new investigators. On Friday we set out with the objective of finding someone! On our way to our first lesson Elder Acevedo randomly stopped and began knocking the closest door. From that door we followed a chain of 2 referrals which led us to a first lesson with a new investigator! I know that even in our weaknesses, if we show our faith through our prayers and actions, anything can be done!

I love you all so much and thank you for the prayers and love I feel from you! Thank you for the blessings.

Con mucho amor,
Elder McKee
