Spencer's Take 2, Semana 3

Time goes by soooo fast! I'm already half way through my first week back! I don't know where it all went!

First off I need to say that it is freezing here! Seriously over night the weather changed from warm and sunny to cloudy, groggy, and cold! On Wednesday I was burning up. I sweat all day long. Then we woke up on Thursday to find that it was super cold! Argentina decided to become winter without any warning! I am getting some serious use out of my boots, coat, sweater gloves and beanie! I need to buy maybe one more sweater and a scarf! Before coming here I did not imagine it ever getting this cold in Northern Argentina, I was sooo wrong! Bone chilling is the best way to describe it!

This past Monday we all met up in a dried river bed for a mission tradition. The tradition is when you complete 6 months you burn a tie. 1 year a shirt, 1 1/2 years pants! With all the elders in my apartment we were able to burn an entire outfit! It was pretty fun.

We had zone conference this week which was awesome! The other elders told me I should take my excitement level down because president usually just jacks everyone so I listened to them. They were wrong! Seeing as he is about to leave the mission, he actually left us with some pretty sweet words and teachings! What I walked away with is that there are many ways to live our lives. Even though a bunch of them might be great ways to live, there is only one correct way. The Lord's way! We can find the way to live in the words of the prophets in the scriptures and in general conference!

Saturday was a pretty crazy day. We did our studies and everything as usual then went to have lunch with the Luna family. We ate a ton of food and I was soooo stuffed. As we were getting up to leave, we received a call from an investigator inviting us to his house to celebrate his birthday by eating a carne asado! I could seriously hardly move after lunch #2 but I had no choice because I had to walk half way across the world to the church to teach English class! It was such a rough walk! My companion and I are working hard and are trying our best to work in the way of the Lord! I love you all so much! I want you to know that I know this gospel is true. Jesus Christ lives and loves us so much!

Con mucho amor,
Elder McKee
