buenas tardes mis queridos! How are things!?!? Things are poppin over here in Jujuy! This week was super busy as we have been preparing 3 people to be baptized this Saturday the 30th.
This week is going to be even crazier I already know it! We will be throwing down Marcos Conde, Walter Tito, and Pamela Cornejo! It will be a blessed day indeed!
As always I want to tell you that my companion Elder Reynolds is the best! He teaches me so much! This week we went to the house of a less active family. One of the boys of the family cut his hair into the most silly style ever. Of course you knowing me, unfortunately I would have told him just how silly he looked. But instead, my companion showed me the better way! I listened as Elder Reynolds began to compliment the kid and you could really tell he appreciated the compliments! The lesson we had with the family was amazing. The kids all read with us and they clearly were loving the time together sitting around the table, reading the word of God!
As the wise, wise Beatles taught us, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE! Love is the most powerful force that we have. No other compels another to act as love does. Yesterday we had an awesome lesson with Fernando! I met Fernando my 2nd day back in the mission and it has been a roller coaster working with this brother! His conversion is full of millions of baby steps and a couple of giant steps. Last night he took one of those giant steps! He finally has decided he wants to be baptized but is unsure if he wants to get married. We explained as best we could to him why there is a need to be baptized but it did not phase him. Elder asked the question,"Do you want your dad to marry your mom? Why?" to Axle, the oldest son of Fernando who has 11 years. What he said was so perfect and soooo powerful! Axle said with a little nod and tears in his eyes,"Yes because I love him and I want to have an eternal family." It was a sweet, sweet moment that I will probably never forget! It was a highlight for sure!
This next week is going to be a fun one! 3 baptisms! Pray for us! We are praying for you! I love you all sooo much. Thanks for everything!
Con mucho amor,
Elder McKee
Here I am! So you don't forget my face! It's ya boys
