Spencer's Semana 23

Monday, September 30, 2013

Well this week was a pretty good one! We had a lot of success! Our goal was to find new people to teach and we ended the week with 3 people committed to baptism! They weren't the most solid commitments but hey, we will take what we can get!

This week we had the chance to go to McAllen to receive a training for new missionaries and their trainers! Man speaking of that stuff, I would really appreciate a break from my little greenie right now! But I can't so I guess I'll just have to deal! One thing I was reminded at the training though is that I just need to have more love and all will be good! I am super excited for this next week because I am going to go on exchanges with my district leader and he is a guapito.

Still no news on the visa! Que triste! Si, yo se! But that's alright! I'll grow where I am planted! One night this week we received like 8 referrals so we have a lot of people to work with and contact this new week! I am super excited for that! The mission is amazing! It's scary though because I realized the other day that I am about a 1/4 through my mission and I have not brought one of my brothers or sisters into the waters of baptism! Kinda sucks, but hey! What can a hard working missionary do?! This is where you give me suggestions...... ;P

I hope all is well at home! Thanks for the letters and love you all send me! This past Saturday I went on a quick split with one of our zone leaders and we went and contacted one of the referrals we received before. The man of the house was outside doing some yard work so we helped him! He then repaid us with a little of his time where we taught a historical record breaking amazing first lesson! It was like text book perfect! My adrenaline gets going when I think about it! But yeah we blew that lesson out of the water and have a return appointment with him and his huge family this upcoming Wednesday! Wahooooo!!!!!!!!!!! So that's gonna be fun :) anyways..... stay golden my little ponies!

Con mucho amor,
Elder McKee
