Familia y amigos!!!!!!
This week I was able to be a host for new missionaries!!!!! It was so fun to watch and be a part of the process that I had just been through not too long ago happen over and over for other missionaries! The process is pretty fun! I helped them get their bags out of the car, took pictures for them, carried their bags for them to their dorms, brought them to get books and then dropped them at their classes to start their journeys! I felt so bad though because for my first three missionaries I forgot about the book step and dropped them straight off at their classes! I felt so bad so I went back and brought them their books! My district members teased me pretty good for that one! It was deserved I suppose! the best thing is I get to be a host again next week! I am going to try my hardest to look out for Garrett Winters! It would be fun to be his host!
This week I received a couple of packages! I got one from aunt Karen which had some delicious snacks and an inflatable pillow tie! Just what I need, haha! I also got a package from Lex which I am pretty sure contained all the snacks from her pantry that her mom had bought, haha. I also received a few letters! One from Lexie, and one from my mom! I love getting mail!!!!
Last night an elder from one of the other districts in my zone came up behind me and covered my eyes with his hands. His hands must have been covered in peanut butter because I knew immediately what was on my face! My face was all red and swollen last night.
We tried to tackle the ten towers of cereal but were not victorious! But the only reason we didn't do it was because the head cafeteria person came out and made us stop by telling us some bogus story of how we are blah blah blah.... haha oh well! I ate 9 bowls of cereal myself! I had 3 bowls of Life, 4 bowls of Coco Roos and two bowls of Crunch Berries! I put in my best effort! My companion Elder Cowan ate 11 bowls of Fruit Loops and was sick for the next two days! I love my time here in the MTC and cannot believe it is already almost up!
My companion broke down the other day out of frustration that we are being shipped out of here so soon. It is scary! We feel so unprepared and unworthy of this work but I know that I am called to this work. I have confidence in my Lord and Savior that they will help me as I carry their message to the people of Argentina. I know that this gospel is the church of Jesus Christ! I know that Thomas S. Monsen is a true prophet of God and is in direct communication with Him! I love you all so much! Thanks for all the support and prayers!
con mucho amor,
Elder Spencer James McKee
