Bueno,
Estoy aqui en Los Fresnos! My new address is 32452 Gaynor Drive apt #5 zip 78566 Los Fresnos TX. Well this week has been a good week I guess! My companion's name is Elder Rodriguez and he is awesome! A little slow sometimes but it's all good. I can definitely notice the lack of maturity in him! He is one of the 18 year old missionaries. He has a girl friend who he has been with for 3 months and he is certain she is going to wait haha. Um he was born in Peru but grew up in Salt Lake so he grew up speaking mainly English but just enough Spanish that he was fast tracked through the MTC (stayed for only 12 days) and now he is here! Tiene el fuego del verdecito! haha He just loves everyone we talk to and sees everyone as if they are in a baptismal gown! I wish it wasn't so but he is going to have to realize that not everyone is going to be in white suit any time soon! But the faith is admirable! :)
It's interesting being the trainer! I am teaching the stuff that I barely know! I have had to teach Elder Rodriguez some pretty funny stuff like how to shine shoes, use a washer machine, work a debit card, and even taught him some Spanish grammar! He really is a good elder! It's funny when we have lessons I have to monitor what he is saying and stop him whenever he goes where he is not supposed to be!
This past week we pretty much spent it going around and meeting the members both active and not! We have had the pleasure to meet some pretty awesome members! There are two neighborhoods of Los Fresnos where the majority of the active members can be found! In one area which is called El Rey is where almost all 50 of the Ruiz family can be found and in another place called Indian Lake where the Greely clan can be found! We have a boss ward mission leader so I am stoked about that and we also have like 5 ward missionaries to help us out! We have the whole ward to ourselves and even have keys to the building! We get fed pretty much every night which is just a joy to my soul! I have become immune to spicy food seeing as I eat jalapenos on a daily basis. But I will never adapt to the side effects of eating spicy food!
I feel the Lord's love in my life so much since I have been here! I understand so much more now that I am seeing the work from the senior comps point of view! I hope that this week we can find a solid family that we can help make the change to the true church of Christ! I love you all so much and hope that you are all the best member missionaries you can be! Thanks again for the packages I got last week!
Con mucho amor,
Elder McKee
P.S. Elder Rodriguez caught me talking Spanish in my sleep again! wahooooo!!!!!
Pictures: well these pictures are just freaking legit! Elder Rodriguez es el guapito en the grey suit!
