OH FAAAAAA!!!! (<----in Argentina it means oh wow)

This week was amazingly blessed! I'm sorry I didn't write the past week! The reason I didn't write is because the Sunday before my last p day, I think it was the 6th, I received a call from my zone leaders in Texas at about 10pm to tell me that my visa had arrived and that I had to pack my bags that night and be ready to head to the airport in McAllen at 6:30 in the morning!!! Sooo I was up all night packing everything! And well we flew from McAllen to Dallas and we had a 5 hour wait in Dallas before our flight for Buenos Aires left later that evening. Sooo in Dallas I had the opportunity to call home which was amazing! My little siblings sound different! Alec's voice is deeper and Elin sounds like a woman! It's really a shame that the steroids effected jonah's voice soo bad....

Anyways our group of four missionaries in the Dallas Airport grew into about 19 missionaries of whom had been waiting in other missions in the states for their visas. But of course the four of us in Texas had the most time waiting!!! So we finally got on the plane and started our 14 hour flight from Dallas Texas to Argentina! The plane we flew in was huge!!!! oh man the chairs were pretty fancy and each seat had its own tv which you could choose which ever movie (movies that were still in theaters) or you could play video games! You all should be proud of me! I conquered the temptation!!!! We ate dinner and breakfast on the plane and I just have to say that air plane food is just not good! On the plane I slept for like 5 hours. We arrived in Buenos Aires the next day at 8 am where we were greeted by the misión presidents of the Buenos Aires North and South missions.  They put us in the care of our bus driver who spoke not one Word of English! I spoke the most Spanish of anyone in our group so I was in charge of knowing what was happening! We waited in the airport at Buenos Aires for about 4 hours waiting for some more missionaries who came straight from the MTC... -____- seriously.... Anyways once they arrived we went to the church offices of south America south región. There we ate lunch and met some really nice members and also talked to some missionaries from the Salta misión that were on their way home! That was pretty cool! After lunch we were dropped off at a different airport in Buenos Aires. We were a little late so we sprinted from checking in our baggage to the plane! Our group made it to the plane with only seconds to spare! We landed in Salta about 2 hours later where we were greeted by President Levrino, his wife, and the assistants. We went from the airport to the church in Salta where we ate dinner and then after dinner walked to a hotel where we slept and showered after our 2 day journey!!!!!

So yeah, I am finally in Argentina! It is amazing. Not how I expected it at all! I got assigned to a small city called Rosario de la Frontera where there are about 30 members. My companion and second trainer is Elder Vargas from Santiago Chile! He is such a beast! I love Elder Vargas! I think my favorite two companions are those who are from South America!

The city of Rosario is beautiful! Well in a weird way. It's kind of like downtown Loredo and downtown Brownsville. Argentina is actually a pretty poor country. Most of the streets aren't paved, and everything is freaking expensive!!!! Seriously everything. The food, the clothes,.... everything! There are dogs everywhere that just do nothing. And everyday at 1pm it is the time of the siesta where everything closes, the kids are let out of school and everyone eats a huge meal and then sleeps! So that's weird! We are seriously the only ones walking the streets from 1-5! But yeah I am here and it is just the best. I still can't believe I am in Argentina!

Anyways that's my story for you guys! Es de diez verdad? haha De diez here in Argentina means like, its awesome! There is such a different vocabulary here. It is hard to understand the people because they talk wayyyy different than Mexicans! tTey speak like they are singing a song! Like the tone of their voice goes up and down! I love it! I need to learn how to talk like that! Well thanks for all your love and prayers! I finally made it! haha I was about to surrender and just accept the fact that I was going to stay in Texas!

Con muchísimo amor,

Elder Spencer McKee
